Since we are living in 2 places, until the other house sells... We improvised a bit.
1. 1993 Brunello di Montalcino.
2. Maw & Paw coffee mugs. Chip purchased at a vintage store. We have white wine glasses, but this wine needed to breathe... We chose the next best thing. Coffee mugs.
3. Candle sticks & candles. Housewarming gift.
4. Card Table. Courtesy of my mom, so we have somewhere to eat. I should probably bring over a tablecloth... perhaps some real napkins.
5. Yummy homemade flat bread pizza & butter lettuce salad.. on paper plates, with plastic utensils.
6. Housewarming flowers from our new neighbors.
7. Plastic folding chairs.
IT WAS PERFECT! CHEERS TO MANY HAPPY YEARS!

That sounds absolutely perfect to me. It is definitely fun and romantic.. just like you guys! Plus, you know you'll never forget your first real dinner together in the new house. It could be a nice little tradition to have the same set up every year on your house's birthday? anniversary? graduation day? Not really sure the right term here...
With a bathroom like the one you have in that new house, you should have eaten in the tub!
