Productive Day

Chip got a new toy. He is waiting anxiously for snow. I am not. Doesn't he look like a Lowe's Ad?


Our Christmas tree was selected. I am in tree heaven. There is a weird shortage of Christmas lights around town. Perhaps the news should report on that instead of Swine Flu.


Then we put on our fancy duds and went to the Red Cross Ball.

Cuisine

We spotted this gem of a Menu Board at a local Bar/Restaurant. WHO orders Pot Roast at a bar? What is a non-beef eater to do?


Please notate the upcoming cook off. HA! I must say part of me thinks it would be really fun to enter the contest.

Decorating

I have opinions about people holiday decorating too early and leaving them up too long. The turkey must be fully digested before We Wish You a Merry Christmas can commence. The 2nd weekend in December is the appropriate time, according to Jennifer.

However, I really want a Christmas tree this weekend. And I want a GIGANTIC one. Every year, we have purchased a tree much smaller than I'd prefer. Not this year. GIGANTIC tree here I come! (and oh yes Target, we will be needing some more lights.)

Standby for photos. Forewarning. The tree may be a bit bare. There is a rule I cannot purchase ornaments, they must be given. Now.. if ornaments arrive mysteriously on our doorstep. They were "technically" given, right.

NEWS FLASH! We don't have a truck to lug my perfect tree. My brother will be loaning us his truck. I just decided. Thanks David you are super.

Gobble Gooble Weekend 2009

Here's a recap of our weekend.

Turkey Day
-Good Food.
-Good Wine.
-Good Company.

Friday
-Ate turkey, again... Every year, we invite ourselves over for leftovers. We are coolio like that.
-Turkey nap follows turkey eating.
-We went bowling. Chip decided to have a photo shoot.
-And it was determined I was a star.

Saturday
-We rode our bikes to lunch.
-Immediate post lunch nap.
-We watched Notre Dame lose. Again.

Sunday
-LEAVES LEAVES LEAVES LEAVES. I wish there was a picture, the blower's backpack is about as big as me. I cannot move my leaf blower arm. Sad, but true.

We had a fabulous turkey weekend full of food and naps. I hope you did too!

First Christmas Present

This is the very first (pre-dating) Christmas present from Chip.

I have them on today. They make me happy. Moooooooooo

Ohio State Versus Michigan - Serious Business

I do not go anywhere at 9:00 am on a Saturday morning. It is really too bad. I will miss the 1 chance of not only OWNING a snuggie but WEARING one in public.
