Adjectives to describe Meredith: cuddly, huggable, sensitive, hilarious, smart, naughty, mischievous.
She is FINALLY sleeping through the night. 8:30 - 6:15 (mostly). Holy moly this has been a long 20 months.
She steals all of my hats. When she sees me coming she hides them behind her back, laughs and says MINE.
She points, says BACK! Then runs away. (Translation I'll be right back lady!)
Meredith does not like things out of place. When she sees a mess on the floor it seriously distresses her. (Yet she will throw rice krispies all over the floor no problem. Ha)
If she toots, she holds her nose and says "stinky". If she goes #2 she brings me her diaper supplies, then runs away. Then comes back...then runs away. Diaper changes take about 15 minutes with all these shananigans.
She started pushing people...then realized if hands weren't used, she didn't get in trouble....Enter the Meredith chest bump (aka shove)
She loves to sit on laps. It does not matter to her who it is. She often sits on children half her size.
Before bed she asks of she can go kick kick kick. I think they both would swim every day if I was up to the task.
Meredith likes to read to herself. She flips the pages and says blah blah blah.
Food update...still not great. We bribe her to eat pouches with cookies. She eats dry rice krispies with a spoon and sometimes with a tortilla chip. Other than that...zbars, dry noodles, pretzels, goldfish, tortilla chips, string cheese (but only gnaws on the wrapper until the cheese taste gets out). Eating clinic next month.
Meredith is very stubborn. We changed her toothpaste brand and she is on strike now. We are waiting her out....
She adores baby dolls. She carries them around quite a bit. The kids clubhouse at the gym has lots of babies and that may be the only reason she allows me to leave.
She draws on windows. She puts stickers on windows....apparently windows are blank canvasses for creativity...

Do NOT surprise this kid. She screams in terror if someone pops into the room unexpectedly.
If you see Meredith ask for a hug. You will not regret.
Here is our 21 month old in pictures.
