Demolition - The Good, The Bad, The Ugly

And here we have... bare bones.

They plastic'd (not a word.) the kitchen from the rest of the house.
You have to go outside to enter demolition zone.
It is quite odd.
The kitchen feels 10 miles away.

The Stairs stay until the carpenter can frame in the new 2nd floor closet.

The walls are plaster. See the oozing in between the boards.
Every time they hit a wall, it sounds like glass shattering.

Wall is semi-gone.
We discovered the supporting beam had been altered...
when the 2nd floor bath was remodeled.
So the partial frame has to stay until this can be fixed.

We make our friends come over to ooh and ahh at things.
They like us, so they pretend it is interesting (just like you are right now, reading this)

WOOD FLOORS!!!! Looks like three layers of linoleum. Not terrible....
We have not decided if we refurbish/patch stain or start over.

That brings us to the temporary kitchen in all of it's basement glory.
On the plus side. We have a working stove.
On the negative side. It's in the unfinished portion of the basement.

We play darts while we eat cereal.

Life is not complete...
If you do not have your motorcycle helmet next to the drinking glasses.

We will eat out a lot. Call us if you want to go to dinner.

So exciting!! I thought I saw a laundry shoot? I think you have one right? I love those things, I think you should add it to your remodel if you don't.
